December 2016- Christmas Carol Concert

November 2016 - Talk given to Methodist Womens Group in Midsomer Norton 

October 2016 - advertised for work experience placements from Bath Spa University

May 2016- Celia gave a talk to the Women’s group in Farmborough about the work of the Foundation

March 2016 Vitality Bath Half Marathon 

March 2016 Tring Park Choreography competition - awarded Dance Again Trophy to Claudia Maybury as winner of People’s Choice

March 2016 –We attended Move It! Dance Convention (attendance 24,000+) and gave free mini massages to 100+ dancers and 3 presentations on the Showcase stage with dancers we have helped . We also awarded Dance Again trophies to  the daily winners of Freestyle stage.

February 2016 –We created branded hand-towels for sale for dancers to carry in their bags

February 2016 – Celia gave a talk to High Littleton WI about the work of the charity

 

2015

Dec 2015- Carols by Candlelight In Bath  - carols, entertainment, mulled wine and mince pies

November 2015 Christmas cards – first year of sales

October 2016 – IADMS conference in Pittsburgh, USA – Presentations were given by Dr Widdowson on Concussion, and the Work of the Charity by Celia Widdowson. Dance Again had a stall to raise awareness of the work of the charity within international community of Dance Medicine and Science  (this trip was self funded)

April 2015. RUH Bath takes over funding of the Specialist Physio at the dance Clinic

April 2015 Attended Dance UK conference in London on sport and Dance medicine

March 2015 Tring Park Choreography competition - awarded Dance Again Trophy to Jaih Betote as winner of Peoples Choice

2014

October 2014 IADMS conference in Basel, Dr Widdowson gave a presentation, Dance Again had a stall to raise awareness of the work of the charity within international community of Dance Medicine and Science  ( this trip was self funded )

September 2014 – Gala concert at Sadler’s Wells main House to raise awareness amongst dancers of the new N.H.S. clinic in Bath for them, and our other help for dancers. Dances from Royal Ballet, ENB, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Ballet Black, Northern Ballet, Tap Attack, Zoonation, Scottie Millers Tappers, Stomp!, and  Jack Widdowson,    

September 2014 – Opened the NHS sports injury clinic in Bath to dancers and Dance teachers from all over England with specialist dance physiotherapist in addition to the Medical consultant (DAF funded this specialist Physio position for first 6 months)

September 2014 – Attended Streetdance XXL world Championships at Wembley, and gave a presentation of our charities work on Main stage

March 2014 Bath Half Marathon – raised £1000+

2013

June 2013 – Gala evening at Baths Guildhall, with guest speakers Amy Williams (Olympic Gold medalist), Hugo Cortes from Stomp!, and David Trick ,the renowned after-dinner speaker and president of Bath Rugby, dances from Holly Noble with Jack Widdowson, and Third Stage.  

April 2013 Charity received its registration from Charities commission

2012

August 2012 Jack Widdowson returns to Bern Ballet to restart his apprenticeship year

July 2012 Jack performed in the Graduation show at The Place

June 2012- Jack was able to begin a postgraduate course at The Place – London Contemporary Dance

June 2012 Gala dinner at the Guildhall Bath, with dances by Tavaziva, Anna Watson, Holly Noble, and entertainment with Annette Hind ( Dorothy Coleborn) Mark Widdowson and Andy Robinson (rugby coach for Scotland –formerly England and Bath)

April 2012 Tring Park School put on Encore, a show featuring choreography by pupils, teachers, and Jack as a fundraiser

 April 2012 family and Friends decide to set up a charity to give to other dancers what they were fortunate enough to be able to provide for Jack, to enable him to make his miraculous recovery and return to his dance career. Dance Again Foundation was born!

April 2012 Jack was able to slowly participate in professional level classes at Mark Bruce Company

March 2012 Jack was able to sit in and gradually take part in some classes at his old school Tring Park

January 2012 He gradually began his intensive rehabilitation back to dance progressing through hydrotherapy, strength and conditioning work, Pilates ballet barre

2011

December 2011 Jack had recovered sufficiently to be discharged from Cardiff’s Heath Hospital and come home to Bath. He was just about able to take a few steps.

November 2011 – Jack Widdowson was attacked and suffered a broken neck which left him with central cord syndrome, rendering him paralysed from the neck down- thankfully not permanently
