Dancers and dance teachers from England and Scotland can access specialist Sports and Dance Medical Consultants at no cost to the patient in this special NHS clinic at the Royal United Hospital Bath, on 3 out of 4 Friday afternoons per month.
Not only is early accurate diagnosis possible, but a specialist Dance Physiotherapist is available throughout the clinic and for follow up appointments if required.
The clinic has a waiting time of around 11 days to enable safe management of your injury as soon as possible. To access this amazing service please ask your GP to make an e-referral, using the information in the PDF below to find the correct clinic.
Please contact celia@danceagain.org if you have any problems or require further information.
Have you received treatment or had an operation for an injury, but been sent away with insufficient information on how to further manage your recovery to dance?
We can give advice on how to optimise your recovery time e.g. how to avoid deconditioning, maintain motivation, relate your physiotherapy routine to dance exercises and how to progress a rehabilitation program.
We understand that dancers often do not want their colleagues, teachers and employers to know they are nursing an injury, which is why we offer this confidential service.
Contact celia@danceagain.org for more information, help or just a chat.
As elite athletes, sometimes dancers need an enhanced or more intensive period of supervised rehabilitation to meet their recovery milestones safely yet quickly. We can offer guidance on other suitably specialized providers in different locations across the country and can try to negotiate a preferential rate for Dance Again Foundation clients.

At Dance Again we are all volunteers. Please respect our efforts to answer as quickly as we can and allocate funding as fairly as possible. Our aims are to help each dancer make the best recovery possible, and allocate funds and effort accordingly. Rude or threatening correspondence will not be answered.
